Terms of Service

§ 1The service

These terms are an agreement between you and Monday Made Meals ("we," "us") covering your use of mondaymademeals.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service is a meal planner, grocery list, and recipe keeper. Some features use AI. We're always cooking something up, so features may be added, changed, or removed over time. Features marked as beta or early access are experimental and provided as-is.

§ 2Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms. The Service is intended for people in the United States.

§ 3Your account

Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. You're responsible for keeping access to your email and sign-in methods secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Accounts are for one person and can't be shared or transferred. § 4Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything illegal;
• interfere with, disrupt, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• scrape, copy, or bulk-download the Service or other users' data, or use bots to access it, except through features we provide;
• get around usage limits, rate limits, trials, or other restrictions;
• reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service; or
• upload content that infringes someone else's rights or that is harmful or unlawful.

§ 5Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information. It's part of these terms.

§ 6Your content and our stuff

You keep all rights to the recipes, notes, photos, and other content you add to the Service ("Your Content"). You give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, process, and display Your Content only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except as described in our Privacy Policy.

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. Subject to these terms, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own household.

§ 7Imported recipes

The Service lets you import recipes from websites, photos, and text for your personal use. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to import and use that content. Don't use the Service to copy and redistribute other people's recipes, photos, or writing.

If you believe content in the Service infringes your copyright, email hi@mondaymademeals.com with the content in question, your contact details, and a description of your work. We'll review it and remove infringing content.

§ 8AI content

Some features use AI to import recipes, organize lists, and suggest plans. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. It can misread amounts or miss ingredients. Always check the original recipe, especially if you cook around food allergies or dietary restrictions. You're responsible for how you use AI output.

§ 9Food and health

The Service is for planning and organizing meals. It doesn't provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and it doesn't check recipes for allergens or food safety. You're responsible for safe food handling, cooking, and the ingredients you choose. Talk to a qualified professional about allergies, health conditions, or dietary needs.

§ 10Subscriptions and billing

• Plans. Monday Made Meals is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Free trial. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. You need to add a payment method to start it. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your payment method is charged automatically. Free trials are limited to one per person.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• Canceling. Cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial billing periods. We may make exceptions at our discretion. Cancel during your free trial and you're never charged.
• Price changes. If we change our prices, we'll give you notice before the new price applies to your next billing period. You can cancel before then.
• Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which you're responsible for.

§ 11Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime from your account settings (cancel any active subscription first). We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. We'll give you notice when we reasonably can. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, like ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will survive.

§ 12Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content, including AI output, will be accurate.

§ 13Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

§ 14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, cancel and stop using the Service.

§ 15Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you have a concern, please email us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
